3/4 c.-1&1/2c. filling of your choice
3/4 c. cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 c. chopped onion
1&3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. biscuit mix
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp butter for frying
(suggested fillings: mushrooms, broccoli, onions, garlic, bell pepper, spinach, bacon, ham, cottage cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano,spring onion, cauliflower)
Heat oven to 400 degrees
Grease 10″ pie plate or 8″ square.
beat together eggs & milk.
In a fry pan saute onion and other fillings till soft and fragrant about 5 min.
Sprinkle filling, in centre of pie plate.
Wisk biscuit mix & cheese into egg & milk and pour over filling in plate.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
in a food processor combine
4 cups all purpose flour
2 Tb baking powder
1 tsp salt
pulse together then add
1 c cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces added a few at a time.
