1.5 c butter
1.5 c b sugar
3 c flour
1/4 c +2 Tb corn starch
(2 Tb sprinkles)
Place sprinkles in freezer.
Cream butter vanilla and sugar. Separately combine flour and cornstarch. Mix dry with wet until dough just starts to form a ball.
Add sprinkles, mix till just combined. Do not over mixed or the color from the sprinkles will bleed into the dough.
Press into the bottom of a 9×13″ pan-lined with parchment/foil pack to 3/4″ thick,
Freeze 1/2 hr.
Preheat oven to 350.
Lift out dough as one piece and place on cutting board. Cut into 3/4″ squares,
Place cubes half inch apart on baking sheet.
Bake 10 min @ 350
Thid can also be used to make “brown sugar button cookies”
Mix as above omitting sprinkles.
Measure into 1 Tb portions.
Form balls, flatten to 2″ discs.
Bake as above.
While still warm use a chopstick to make “holes.”
