Apparently september was all about pie. Apples from our tree, a selection of wild berries, dried fruit, fresh herbs, sweet and savory… all turned into pies.
I experimented with pastry and filling recipes; I made a crumble, a cobbler, a traditional pie, a “dutch”style filling, a birthday pie, criped edges, brushed with milk, or egg, sprinkled with sugar or ledt alone, I experimented with rustic presentation and fancy embelishments.

Short crust pastry infused with vanilla seed
Sourcream and lemon zest added to apple filling
Cobbler pastry cut into stars
Mixed berries with a touch of cinnamon
A savory cheese crust with thomas kellers chicken filling
